Setting the new standard at river run
Keystone ski resort has been a long time favorite for Coloradans and travelers alike.
Famous for its epic snow fort, late night runs, giant ice skating pond, and diverse terrain spanning over 3 mountains it’s the perfect place for some good old-fashioned, family-friendly winter wonderland fun.
Right smack dab in the middle of it all is the village, River Run, which offers festivals to après, dinner to dancing, sweets to shopping, and firepit hangs in between.
Smack dab in the middle of the middle was a condo that was purchased as an investment property.
While the location couldn’t get any better, the interior definitely could.
Without a straight wall in the whole place, the awkward layout and tiny kitchen shoved into the corner made the space feel small, cramped, and dated…it was giving “old world” instead of “world class”.
That is, until I got my hands on it.
Seeing that it was a short term rental and investment property (as well as a part time vacation home for the owners), it was crucial that the design supported a high end clientele of global travelers (as well as a luxury feel for the family), and got the ROI it deserved.
With that, I decided to incorporate a mix of modern and organic materials and surfaces to elevate the space, attract a higher end clientele, and give the owners a luxurious “home away from home”.
The footprint also got a makeover, shifting the kitchen from the corner to the main event and creating a master wing complete with an office for remote work and a laundry area within the unit (a major luxury for this building).

This was truly a labor of love, but it was totally worth it!
Within the first week of opening the unit to guests, the owners had over $13K in bookings and it has stayed full ever since.
Just recently, it was appraised at over $1M, which definitely sets the new standard at River Run.
